Dog hit by car, spoiled with human food

My six month old golden retriever was hit on the left hind leg by a car about 15 days ago. He wouldn't eat his food originally and I lost the stand off for people food when he began to lose weight. I switched his food from Purina puppy chow to Pedigree and he was happy for one day. Now he's back to turning his nose away, even when fed by hand. He does not like dog gravy. What should I try?

WE got a pomapoo at six weeks old. She techniqually my husband's because she is stuck to him like glue. She get really upset when he leaves the room and it can be hell when he is gone for just a few hours. She isn't destructive towrd furniture but she eats and chews practically everthing else. Plastic bags, anynapkin she will eat, paper etc. She is 4 months old and we have not gone out wihtout her ever! I told my husband he needs to leave sometimes to get her used to not having him there alll the time. he did go and it wasn't as bad but I was there. She cried alot a couple times but she also played and took a name. I know she felt unsecure. Can't we start leaving for small incurments of time by leaving her in a crate so that she can't get into anything. Gradually until she can gets used to it. I would like to actually go out without the dog. Before it was my stepson now it is the dog. Unfortantely this is not the main problem. When we brough Heidi home I told Mike that it would not be good to feed it from the table or give her people food. He unfortantly didn't listen to me and I am really mad because of stobburn puppie will not eat her puppy food. he started putting stuff in her food and I told him not to. that he should leave it plain and when she was hungry she would eat it because we were not helping her by ruining her health and teeth. I told her by eating small quainties of people food it would lead to a shorter live and more illnesses. I believe this. I don't think she can't be rewarded with a dog treat but not when she isn't eating what she needs to mantain good bones and teeth. My problem is hounding my husband which is my problem and finding a real way to get her back on her dry food. There are so many people saying different things. She will not eat out of her bowl, she tends to eat out my hand or one at a time.
she is getting really spoiled. She has eaten some plain food but then my husband feed her chicken!. I had another discussion with him today because he put maynoise in her foot and she ate a little. he insist she is going to starve if we don't give her treats and wait until she breaks and starts eating again because she knows her Daddy will break if she looks cute enough or cries enough. She is not stupid. I need some real good advice. She is good size about six pounds with long legs. She shoul only get to twelve pounds at the most. We saw both her parents and unfortantely she more like her father in personality. But my husband is spoiling her really bad. I really need your help. I know it is silly but I can't have kids so she is my little baby but I know she needs to be a dog not a human.
