My dog has a huge lump on her left side of chest.
This lump has rapidly grown within a 3 day period. It's just getting bigger. The first two days she acted normal with it ate and everything but today it's bleeding and looks stretched to the max.
I am a single mother and can't afford to take her to the vet even if they would let me make payment arrangements.she was acting like normal a week ago. The lump went from the size of a golf ball to the size of 2 maybe 3 grapefruits and has a bloody hole on it I'm scared for might happen to her and need to know what's going to happen next anyone experience this before or have any ideas what's wrong with her?

Sounds like this is a rapidly growing cyst. It may rupture on its own but it really should be drained by a vet. There is a serious risk of infection. Does the blood look dark and like it is mixed with water?

I really strongly suggest that you get this dog to a vet. Please call one and see what you can workout.

In some locations the local ASPCA or even a veterniary college will be able to help you.

You might want to wait for a responder named Labman. He specializes in animal problems.

It looks red as red can be mixed with water, It was getting worst and I called the vets and all they could tell me was to bring her in for a wellness check for $40.00 they couldn't tell me anything until I did that I asked well can I bring her down their and you glance at it and tell me what you think it might be and they said not with out the wellness check we told them we couldn't afford it and we didn't want her to suffer but if he thought their was a chance he could do something for her we would figure something out I get paid on Friday. I told him I have not a dollar until Friday. You've told more than they did. I'm so angry she has been very healthy just old and vets don't act like they give a flying flip they could refer me to something like you said a veterinary college not one vet in my town would help me thanks for the information it made more sense than anything I;ve heard yet but sadley I just got through taking her to the animal shelter that's the only advice any vet told me you can't afford to bring her in then take her to their they will put her to sleep for free. I couldn't watch her suffer though.

Don, as far as I know, Labman has not been around in a very long time.

Bethann, I am so sorry for what happened. Please accept my condolences (if I read your post correctly.)

Edited to add the word 'not'.

Wow, I am very sorry for your loss. I am assuming she was in obvious pain and discomfort? I'm really sad to hear that none of the vets would work out a payment plan for the $40.00.

I'm so sorry that this happened. You did do the right thing, the only thing you could do. I just wish the vet had been more kind and caring. Money is tight for so many people, and vets just seem to care about the money, not the animals or the people that love them.

Please don't let this get you down. You did everything you could to get your dog the help it needed.

    My condolences to you.

I don't like being the devils advocate, but many doctors sadly need to be careful about who they give freebies to. We get burned so often, even with how careful our clinic is. That's why it's so important to have a good relationship with your vet so when things like this happens, they know you and trust you.

Either way, I'm sorry for your loss.
