This was inspired by another thread were the OP was adamant on having his dogs ears cropped. He wasn't asking for an opinion, just info on were to have it done.

I think that this is a subject worth pursuing, therefore I decided to start a thread.

What is your opinion on having a dogs ears cropped, or tail for that matter. Why do you have the opinion you do. Let's discuss.

My opinion, I would never do either, I think it's unnecessary. I do respect an owners right to choose, but I think allot of people choose this without knowing the facts and without checking to see if it is necessary. Vets sometimes push this on owners, I've seen it happen, who's going to dispute their Vet?

Unless there is a medical reason, I don't think this should be done.
