Dog Is Drinking So Much Water And Urinating A lot
I Am Wondering If Someone Can Tell Me Why My Dog Is Drinking So Much Water And Urinating A lot Even On The Bare Floor. He Has Had All Test Done And All Have Been Negative. Is This A Problem That Anyone Else Dog Has Had. Don't Know If It Is Serious. It Is Sad To See Him Go Through This Thanks

Perhaps you need to either give your vet more time to work on the problem, or try a different one.

My dog had the same symptoms two years ago. My vet immediately suspected Cushings disease. There are a lot of tests involved and it isn't cheap, but we were able to diagnose it. There is treatment available which has improved his quality of life and given him "more time". He is 15 now and his arthritis is more of a problem than the Cushings. I would ask your vet about testing for Cushings or see a new vet possibly. Best of luck to you.

I agree with both posters above. If your vet is unable to find the solution, more tests need to be run, or rerun, as the case may be. If the vet isn't being very helpful, seek out another vet. You need to get down to the bottom of this and find out exactly what is going on. Could be Cushings, could be diabetes, could be kidney stones, could be something as simple as a UTI. Anything is possible. In any event, he is in distress and I wouldn't let anyone tell me that they are coming up with no answers and just accept it. Vets are human and can make mistakes. Labs can make mistakes. There is clearly something wrong. Please post back and let us know how you both are doing.
