    Daschund Seizures, I think
My dog zeek, has been acting really odd lately he lays downs and shakes really bad and I can't get him to get up or move but his eyes are responsive, just curious if anyone knows if this may be a seizure... I really don't have the money to go to the vet right away... and I'm really worried so any insight would be great!

Yes, this is probably a seizure. You will want to go to the vet right away. Ask if they have a payment plan. The Vet I work for lets you write a few checks that we hold, & cash on the day you said would be okay (ie. Payday, every two weeks). This way he knows that he is getting paid, but you make it fit you budget & pay dates.

Every time an animal has a seizure they experience some brain damage. The longer the seizure, the more sever the long term affects, & the higher the risk of not making it through the seizure. There are medications that your Vet can prescribe to help prevent the seizures. Good luck & I hope this helps.
