Dacshund First Heat

My Dacshund is 8 months old and in her first heat cycle. She's been bleeding for 2 weeks now.................is this normal?

We have a dacsund and her first cycle lasted two weeks, but after that there was very little bleeding that didn't last very long. She's perfectly healthy, so it could be that it's just the first cycle, if you're still worried, you can get her checked at the vets.
