Tell us what's perfect about the dog.

Tell us why your dad will say no.

We can't help you unless we know stuff.

i would just tell him how it may benifit the family ..maybe provide happieness when your sad stuff like that. also tell him that you would take responcibility like clean up after it.also the price might be an option and i know they are expencive so maybe if possibly offer to pitch in some money

Is it the specific puppy you are looking at? Many perfect puppies turn into problems or heart break. Go through the questions here and see the problems many people have from the beginning. Unfortunately there are many very poor puppies bred by people either out of ignorance or greed. Here is a link to some of the things you need to have looked at in choosing a perfect puppy, http://www.woodhavenlabs.com/images/breeding-off.jpg

Perhaps your father would rather not have a puppy at all. Puppies do take a lot of time and money. There are way of reducing it, see http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/in...tml#post251802 As I am being reminded by the puppy we got a week ago, even the best techniques are still a lot of work.

One of the best sources for dogs with a predictable personality is the rescue
dogs. These are dogs that lost their home, but were taken into a foster home
to be retrained as necessary and placed in the right home for them. You may
find a rescue near you starting at American Kennel Club - Breed Rescue The rescues charge a fee to help cover their expenses, but is much less than the price of a puppy plus all its medical expenses the first year.
