boxer dog

could someone please help me my boxer has not been eating well she has been pushing her plat away,

she had her first season about a month ago and her nipples are still really big the back two look swolen,

somebody asked me the other day if she was pregnant cos they looked that big but there is know chance of that. i thought there nipples were suposed to go down again after there season was finished.

the thing is i have been getting so worried that she is not eating her food that i have been giving her a sausage roll or ham from the fridge. she seem to gobble that up!

i do from time to time give her a bit of cheese or ham but she always eat her own food aswell, i dont know if i am imagining it but she looks thinner i am getting worried.

she is 1 years old what could be wrong she normaly eats so well! anyone got any ideas before i go to the vet.

See the sticky on ''My dog won't eat'', http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/in...tml#post254171 In most cases, tempting a dog with rich food is the wrong thing to do. Now that her growth has slowed, she may need less food. You may only need to cut back on what you are feeding.

She may be doing a false pregnancy. If it is over a month since her season, the vet can confirm she isn't pregnant.

Why haven't you spayed her? What we need are more homes for dogs, not more people breeding them. Is she an unusually fine example of the breed? In what ways is she outstanding? Please go to American Kennel Club - akc.org and read what they say if you are considering breeding. Read some books. Responsible breeding is far more work and far lass profitable than many people realize. Start with Successful Dog Breeding, by Chris Walkowicz, DMV.
