Acidity in beagle

My 7-yr old beagle cant stay without food for longer than 7 hrs. He gets severe acidity and takes me out foraging--a strain on poor arms and legs--he pulls and yanks like an unruly horse. Nothing will do but grass, not even milk which he loves. Now, I wake up at 4 in the morning to give him some milk and thus prevent acidity.
Is there anything I can do to get around this?Any alternative for grass?
Also, is deworming necessary? How frequently? ( I am unable to get the huge tablets into him. And due to the strong smell, nothing can disguise the powdered tablets.)
Thank you

I know with cats you can raise little containers of oats or other grass as houseplants for them to nibble on. You could try breaking the big pills into smaller pieces and wrapping a bit of bread around them as a disguise. Like if I'm giving a pill, I give two bits of bread, then the piece of bread with the pill, followed by another piece of bread right away. She quickly swallows the pill because she wants to grab the next piece I'm holding out.

I believe that you can buy a grass supplement at some of the pet stores for dogs.

Maybe the milk is causing and upset stomach...try dividing his food into 2 to 3 equal portions thru out the day and if he is still hungry try adding a low fat additive such as green beans.

Dogs are not able to digest milk properly and are considered lactose intolerant. This might very well be the problem. I have always been told not to give a dog milk for this reason. I would recommend removing all foods other than dog chow to see if this can regulate your pup's system.
