At 5 weeks, there should be no milk offered and definitely no bottles.

Try warming the food up in the microwave. Warming the food up will release the oils an smells of the food and should help entice dogs to want to eat.

She is 5 weeks old. This is a very young puppy that should be with her litter and mom. I'm glad you decided to take her in and care for her.. but now you're going to have to pick up where mom left off and hopefully her leaving her litter at a young age won't damage her personality. It is possible to raise a young pup... however, its going to require a lot of attention.. and by that, I mean a lot of holding and cuddling.

But definitely try the warmed up food.. Maybe even warmed up canned food... You can also try a home cooked meal for her.. browned hamburger and rice or boiled chicken and rice.

If she continues to not eat.. then you have no choice but to take her to the vet. She may have an upset stomach that requires medical attention. You're going to have to act fast.. these little guys can fall apart extremely fast..

Put a dash of puppy milk in the water to encourage her to drink. You can start of with half milk and half water and just gradually change the ratio until it's plain water.

If she isn't drinking water, start syringe feeding her pedialyte or gateraid. Thatll keep the electrolytes balanced until you can make it to the vet.

Sometimes when dogs are tired of being manhandled, they'll start eating and drinking on their own... Sometimes

I'm sorry your dog has parvo.

What type of treatment has the vet suggested for you? That's good that you caught it early. Early diagnosis of parvo typically has a good outcome.

The key to beat parvo is keep her hydrated. I hope the vet gave you some medications to give at home or has some type of treatment plan for you.

Just keep her hydrated. You can also purchase a medication from the internet that works pretty well. Its called PARVAID. Since your puppy was caught early, this medication may help you out. Parvaid - All Natural Parvo Treatment For Dogs I believe you get overnight shipping as well..

For the drinking, you might have to syringe water into her mouth. You may have to ask the vet to show you how to do it properly. The easiest way is to place the tip of the syringe behind the canine and gently push the plunger down. She will naturally lap it up in her mouth and swallow. In the water, you need to put pedialyte. You can also use gateraid.

    Good luck to you.
