5 1/2 week old pug puppy.
    [F]
So a friend of my step father has a pug, who they got pregnant and what not.
She was too young to get pregnant in my opinion, but whatever.
But we got one of the puppies.
Now they said that the puppies were already eating normal dog food, and running around barking. When we get there to pick our puppy, there's only one female left (Although we were supposed to pick ours first.)
The poor baby was half the size of her brothers there, but we still brought her home.
I'm very worried about her. She wont eat, we've been trying to feed her formula through a syringe, we tried putting it in a small bowl for her to lick up, tried putting it on a clothe for her to suck on, we've tried everything we can think of.
Last night I did get her to eat maybe 1/2 TSP of the puppy formula, which I was very happy about, but since then she hasn't eaten.
Were calling the vets today to hopefully get her in to see, but I figured I would ask here and see if anyone has any suggestions on ow to get her to eat/drink.

I would do nothing until she's seen by a Vet. Sometimes a sick dog that won't drink water WILL lick ice cubes.

It could be anything from parvo to a change of scenery to indiscriminate breeding.

    Whatever.

At 5 1/2 weeks of age she's way too young to be taken from her mother. In fact, in most states it's illegal for the breeder (in this case backyard breeder) to even let the puppies leave this early.

I'd take her to the vet, then I'd call the humane society and report the person who bred these puppies. Hopefully, at the very least, they'll take her dog away and not allow her to own anymore.

This is what happens when people breed without knowing what they are doing and don't care about the health of the dog or her pups.

    It's so sad. :(

At 5 1/2 weeks the pup should be eating solid food by now.
Soaking towels in formula is not necessary.

What were the "breeders" feeding? Don't tell me this poor puppy has never had solid food before (!! )

And Alty is right, I don't care if they are friends REPORT THEM.

The other people who have the puppies may not ask for help and just let them die.
