My 1 year old boxer at a spare rib

Someone gave our 1 year old boxer a spare rib for him to chew on- our boxer immediately swallowed the spare rib. The spare rib was about 4 inches long, 1/2 inch wide. It has been 2 hours, the dog seems happy and content.

What should we do?

Feed him some bread, the gooiest white library paste in the house. It will pack around the sharp end and protect his intestines. Call the vet in the morning.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Hopefully, you did as labman suggested. You need to bring him into the vet as soon as possible. Please update us on his condition.
