visa status after divorce?

hi i'm jessica, my friend was married to the uk citizen and after 2 yrs she got pr and now there is something wrong in their life. her husband has another gf and now they are in the verge of getting divorce. so could anyone tell me that what happens to the visa status of my friend after getting divorce. will she be able to apply for british passport if she gets divorce or will her pr be cancelled. help guys
