US Expat married to US expat

Hello,
I am an American living in Venezuela married to an American. We have been living outside the US for the last ten years(Trinidad, China and now Venezuela) and are considering divorce. Can anyone tell me the best way to go about this? Better to repatriate, does the state law apply where our mail is pouched or where we have driver's license or own property? Any info is greatly appreciated!!
Regards,
Lee
