Having helped several friends with their divorce all I can say is it is not a pleasant business to go through
When you stated you got a divorce, you would have signed final settlement papers stating who got what and what each other person was entitled to/responsible for
I would have presumed that the house would have been dealt within that document
So what does your divorce agreement state?
It is this document that you must address, if it entitles you to re-enter the property but she is refusing then you must apply to the courts for a warrant to be issued against your ex for breach of contract - this is very easy to do and you dont need a solictor for it
Let me know if you need help with this
Also, as you are not working, I would presume you are at the JSA receiving benefits
Part of this is housing benefits, I can appreciate you as a single person (at least without dependants) you might find it difficult to get a house for yourself, however, there are people who offer places of accomodation when you are on housing benefits
So speak to you local housing asscoiation and ask them what is offered and what you can get them to pay for
Let me know on the dicorce statement |
