LV Divorce in Ca

Hello,I'm new to this board and looking for any advise to what to do. I got married 13mo. ago in Las Vegas and it seam's as I have to get a divorce to protect myself and assets and a business, that were mine, prior to the plunge.
Does the time of marriage have any bearing to making it easier or what cant she do to future earning's.
I still love her and she says the same to me, but we just can't seem to get along mostly due to her use of alcohol.

Thanks for any feed back.

Now after you are married is not a good time to think of this. you need a divorce attorney and perhaps also need to consider incorporation of your business

Normally things owned before your marriage is not divided, now if the business grows over the time you are married, she may be entitled to 1/2 of the growth. and so on.

Needed the attorney before marriage, but really need one now if you are worried.

Thanks, that's kidda the direction I'm heading..Just not sure of any twist, being married in LV. But It probably would not hurt to find a attorney.

She's been gone for a month now and most of her stuff is still her. I'm not sure to just box it up. And if I do were will I send it? She's not all that responsable. Plus I feel i should still respect her and her stuff.

I probably should just get on with it and get a pair!

It is not as much where you were married, but where you are living up at the time fo the divorce.
