I disagree. Most states there is not waiting period however there are several states that do have a waiting period. Some as long as 6 months like OK, NE & WI. Others are 30 days, 10 days etc. What state is most important.

Two years minimum. That is how long it will take for you to understand how and why and to learn to cope with the original divorce

How Long to wait? Well Legally, I think it may be different in different states. It would not be very long though. Emotionally is a different story. You need to be sure you are not on the rebound. Some one may feel empty and alone after a divorce, this is normal your whole life has been changed. Rushing into a new relationship right away may make you feel more secure, but many people end up with multiple divorces because of this. Choose wisely and take your time the second time around.

You need to wait till you are over the other person, and learn to be and live on your own. That could be 6 months or 2 or 3 years, for some it may be never.
