hopeless
I have a friend who has been trying to get a divorce for awhile now. He was really desperate and went online to the mexicandivorce.com site. Well now the military won't except it, he is still married and his wife is trying to destroy his career. Is there anyway that he can be helped? Is there anyway that the papers that he has can be made legal? What can he do? The wife is very emotionally, physically, and mentally abusive.

I'm sorry, but don't live in CA.
I would suggest calling some of your friends, relatives, etc. Maybe they know of a lawyer that is experienced in divorces.
You could also use your local phone book, yellow pages, and call some locally. The secretary should be able to supply an average cost.

cheap attorney
In legal affairs you get what you pay for. If this was going to be an easy divorce a para legal or a cheap attorney may do fine.

But it appears that his wife is not agreeing to the divorce for some reason and he will need a very good attorney to fight for the divorce ( which can drag out for months or even into years if one party is not agreeable)

So he needs to get the best attorney he can find, not the cheapest, he has already found out what cheap gets him, only his money lost.

Why is the wife not agreeing to the divorce, what terms would she agree to??

wife is crazy
The wife is not agreeing to the want of being divorced. She just doesn't want it because of the fact that before me and him became friends he just didn't think that he had choices. Then I gave him information because I delt with the same thing, and he started waking up asking questions. He was and still kinda is a very passive person. He doesn't like to hurt people, and I told him even still he shouldn't allow himself to be hurt.He doesn't want anything out of it, he allready pays willing child support for his son $400.00, and she has somewhere to stay because she is in government quarters. She is just mad because he refuses to be her puppet.

He needs to hire a lawyer. Not some cheap one, a good repuable divorce lawyer in CA.
