French divorce jurisdiction

I was married in Texas. My wife and I had a son in Texas. Then we moved to France on a two year contract. after six months my wife left me. I still have my son. I see a high risk in returning to Texas to seek divorce. Can a French court claim jurisdiction and grant me a divorce that will be accepted by the American court?
