Your lawyer is the person who can answer that. Normally kids belong to the mother when they are underage unless you file for custody and prove to the court that your soon to b ex wife is incapacitated to take care of your children. As for the house, my boyfriend kept his house and got the custody of his child after his divorce from his ex wife. I don't know what his lawyer did.

If you are the primary care-giver you stand a good chance of getting custody. As for the house your lawyer should be giving you advice on that.

Some states, like California, allow you, as primary caretaker for the children (meaning you have them >50% of the time) to defer the sale of the family residence (and ultimate division of its net value) until the youngest of the children finish high school. I don't know if Michigan does this, but it's fairly commonly available in many parts of the country (we had case law allowing for it at one time and later the rule became codified).

Check with local counsel. It's not an unusual or unreasonable request (in "equal division" states you are not going to have the house just given to you because the kids are with you, if that is what you were asking).

Of course :].

I am only 14 years old but my parents got divorced when I was barely 2 years old and I have lived with my dad since 1997.

The male can take custody if he proves to the judges that he is capable of caring for his children over the mother. (example: better house, better paying job, etc.)
