    Abandonment in Texas
In the state of Texas how long does it take to file for abandonment if the other person seems to be avoiding it?

Upon a quick internet search I found the Texas Statutes Family Code requires the person to have willfully abandoned the marriage for a period of one year or more. Just do a search for Texas Family Code and you find links that explain the requirements for filing this way. Good Luck.
