I know some one that paid Belford University for a degree. But Belford University has not kept there end of the deal and this person that I know is very upset over the whole thing.

To me these so called universities are getting more and more known on the internet and I think they are all fraud.

I think the US government should step in on these issues and track down these individuals arrest them and put them in prison for 10 to 20 years for computer internet fraud. Unless they can really prove themselves other wise by providing the following on their web sites.

1. Real contact phone numbers and names of departments that people can call.

2. Real addressee where they are located (Not a P.O. Box) so that people mail letters to a real place.

3. Guarantee’s that your are going to what was promised or 100% of your money back.

4. To be listed as a legal educational school with local, state and government authorities.

Well, Belford university is accredited by the International Accreditation Agency for Online Universities (IAAOU) and Universal Council for Online Education Accreditation (UCOEA). The part that I don't find trustworthy is I don't think it's possible to even get a degree in 7 days. Even with the accreditation from other universities it does seem a little off. Note those are not "known and accepted" accreditation agencies.

I can create an accrediation agency to accedite my school, this is very commom in online schools also.

They are not really accredited by any national group in the US>

But many of these are not really in the US, they can be done from any foreign country by internet.

Just proves the point that you should be very wary of any school offering any type of credit for "life experience", it's usually just the hook of a dubious college.

Actually, I fell for their "scam" if one can call it that, but after I applied to a few jobs to get a better job or pay, I didn't hear from the perspective employers and one even laughed at me,I am not sure if it was because they thought I was an idiot or that I was just naive.

I then sent Belford University an email telling them how perspective employers 'laughed' at my resume because they are accredited by an accreditation organization that is recognized by the US Department of Education.

They then refunded my 'tuition'. So it is guaranteed. They say it is on their site, but then they also say no refunds. But I got a refund. I actually demanded a refund, and I didn't budge either.

Belford University is also being investigated by the Texas board of higher education. And they do have a physical address - with an actual street address instead of a PO Box.

and nor .org Check out any legit university and you will see what I mean. Absolutely bogus degree mill.
