I have two foster care children. Their dad is in jail. The county called me to get my information for child support.. Will the children receive a check while he is in jail? Dawn

Is the father collecting SS retirement, disabiity, something else?

Did the children receive SS prior to him going to jail?

Are the children placed with you by the Court or is this an informal arrangement?

Sorry but need more info

Disability.. but i think it's the kind where he is disabled but didnt work enough to claim it himself.. Its like another form of welfare.. I am sorry that I am not educated on these things, but I don't know anyone collecting disability like this..
The State put the children in my care.
I am not foster care licensed yet, I do get a small amount of money for them a month from DHS, but she said the county where he is in jail contacted the children's foster care worker to set up child support.. I don't know if they were receiveing a check before this.
