finger tendon

Hi there,
Severl years ago a friend of mine has damaged one of finger's tendon of her right hand. She went to see a doctor several months after that it happened. She can't control her finger. Doctors told here that there is no hope to repare the damaged tendon. I wondering if this is possible. I believe that with the todays technology and progress in medical science reparing her finger's tendon is possible. Is there any thing that she can do.
thanks and have a great day,
lisi

I tend to believe Doctors who have seen the patient and know the full extent of the damage; however, has she seen a Doctor recently to re-evaluate the situation?

Is the tendon damaged or severed?
