turned on my computer no signL fans extremely loud

dear all,

last friday i was playing a star wars galaxies and my computer froze. so I tried to control alt and delete and nothing came up. so i thought i should just turn off my computer by holding the power button on my pc. it turned off. i turned it back on, the first time the blue light on my power button never turned on but my computer was running but it had no signal (happened before but when i turned the pc off and turned it back on it ran back to normal) and both fans (factory defualt and my antec 3 low meduim or high speed blue light fan) was running full speed and it was very loud. so i turned it off again and i tried it one more time. same thing happened but the light was on the power button. my father and i opened the pc. we thought it was either the Hard drive or my nvidia 512mb 7600gs graphics card. We took that out. we connected the video monitor cable to my motherboard but same problem. the same thing happened to my old hp computer and it was a virus. if this computer has a virus can someone give me step by step instructions that would be read by a beginner. i would be on yahoo more than this website so i will give you guys my e-mail so you guys can send me the step by step instuctions or what is the problem. [email address] (thats the email). thank you and i will be looking forward from hearing from all of you!

try another video card, not the on board one or the one you have now to see if you get get signal

if no signal with a known working video card other than what you have now would indicate a possible system board issue, it may be possible that the processor over heated

but try antoher video card and go from there at this point

Well my old computer had the same problem and it was a virus so is there any way i can get a signal on the computer or do something to restore my whole hard drive with nothing on it exept the factory default stuff??? And i don't have an extra graphics card ap and it can't be that the fans are running full speed its either a loose wire. but i checked all wires and no loose ones just spares for extra i will add in. So can someone help me with the listing i put up top??????

The “No Signal Detected” message means exactly that; the computer monitor isn’t getting a signal from the computer. Basically it means the computer is off or the cable to the monitor is disconnected.

Sometimes it means the computer’s graphic card has failed.

Can you get into the BIOS, as getting into the BIOS would happen before windows starts loading, so no software (virus) would have a chance to load.

Try to start your computer with a boot disc, such as a windows CD to see if it boots to the cd without problem.

If both above do not get signal, it is back to video card or monitor.

Have you tried another known working monitor to possibly see if it is the monitor that may be faulty.

Or try this monitor on another computer to see if it works on another computer, if no signal with monitor on another computer, it would be the monitor that is bad.

definately check out another monitor to see if that is the issue, a monitor would be less hassle if that happens to be the problem.

but above steps are to see if it is either the card or the monitor to eliminate those first then go onto system board as the problem

ok well it can't be the screen because a screen can't make mycomputer turn on extremely loud and all fans just staying extremely loud on full speed.
