SUBJECT: Which thermal compound do I use?

I just bought an ABIT motherboard, an Intel P4 CPU,
    And a thermaltake heatsink.

I need to purchase a thermal compound.

    Which brand name is better?

After doing a froogle search, I came up with seven candidiates.

    1. Startech silver based thermall heatsink grease.

    2. Artic silver cermique premium high density compound.

    3. Antec thermal paste.

    4. OCZ Ultra 5+ silver thermal compound.

    5. Akasa thermal compound.

    6. Shin-etsu G-765 thermal paste

    7. Spire STARS-700 silver grease thermal cooling paste for heat sink.

    Which one do you recommend?

    Thank you.

    Awaiting your response.

Go for the brand that you have heard of and trust. The only brands I know out of all those are Antec and Akasa so I'd go with one of those. Actually I think I do have Akasa compound between my CPU & heatsink.

I don't think it's going to make a great deal of difference really.
