    Start up problems
I have previously asked questions in relation to start up problems with a VIDEO ERROR.

I decided to buy a new monitor but I am still having problems.

When I boot up the PC a message comes up on the monitor "check PC and SIGNAL CABLE" monitor is OK.

I then reboot the system without turning the monitor off and then it goes through the normal start up. I am not a computer expert but if I had a signal failure then I would not be able to get in at all.

I have checked my video card and all connections.

    Can anyone help me?

    Hi,

You say you've checked the video card but have you reseated it or replaced it? The error message that you receive is usually related to a poorly seated video card. Open the case, remove the video card and then firmly reseat/reinstall it into the slot and then reboot. If this does not help then you must replace the video card.
