No Signal with new video card

My monitor gave me an error message that said " no signal" . So I bought a new video card. I installed it and tried to load the software but my screen still says no signal. I also tried to hook up another monitor and recieved the same message. Any suggestions?

Thank you

Was this a new system you rebuilt? If so I had the same problem but fixed it. I had my DVD writer plugged in the wrong place. Just a though. I am no expert

Try using the video cable on another computer that you know works.

if you tried another working monitor and a new card, it would indicate your video card slot may be bad. If you have an agp card, you can always try to get a pci video card to see if that would work. If it is an pci card to start with, try putting it in other slots
