HP Pavilion hibernate problem

Hi

Don't know if it's a hardware or software problem, (I'm on XP home) but if I hibernate with mains power on and try to bring back to life on battery power, the screen stays blank (and black) regardless of what keys I hit. I have to force close it and restart. I think it's the same when I hibernate on battery power and restart on mains, but not so sure. Thanks. Bob

This is a relatively common problem which involves a registry error of some sort. The easiest remedy is to simply turn off the hibernate feature on your computer. You may also contact the computer manufacturer for additional support as they likely have had other calls regarding this issue and may have a patch to repair the problem. You may also try Windows Updates.
