HP Pavilion a405g stuck in hibernate?

Hello,

My father's HP Pavilion computer won't turn on - the power button on the front just blinks quickly and in a regular pulsating pattern. The computer was in hibernate mode before it quit on him and I wonder if perhaps it's stuck in hibernate mode. How can I get the darn thing to wake up? It won't respond to any keyboard strokes, I've held the power button down for 10 seconds hoping it would reset - no luck. I've disconnected all the cables and the powercord and reconnedted everything - still nothing.

Thanks for any guidance you might provide!

Yeah, so since you've disconnected the power cord there is no way it's still in Hibernate. I know this seems like a dumb question but I've done it before. On most power supplies there is a switch in back. Try switching it to see if it was turned off by accident.
