Yes the CPU is a placeholder as I am waiting for the Core 2 Duo E8500.

Questions I have...

Does anyone see any problems with this setup?

Will everything here work with the new E8500?

Opinions on getting a non SLI board?

Opinions on the 1066 memory standard?

Any other suggestions are much appreciated!!!

Thank you for your time!

Wow... nice... I'm not a gamer but I can provide the following comments about SLI. Apparently, the gamers over at the NVIDIA forums are complaining about the current drivers causing problems for a multi card setup so maybe your choice "not to go with SLI" is a good choice until NVIDIA sorts out their driver problems.
