If its after three hours sounds like power saver controls. It depends on what is telling you its only 127 or 126. Most likely the 1 MB is being used for video memory.

You don't get the 1M back, its used by your video. Check the power saver settings in Control Panel

problem is with your power saving settings.it is obviously set to 3 hours.solution is
right click on the screen-->click properties-->click screen saver-->under |energy saving features of monitor| click power and set turn of monitor to never
this solution is for windows OS only.

It might be heat build up. Try getting a can of compressed air and blowing the dust out of the case.

Make sure the physical state of your memory isn't bad; getting another stick of it might be a way to go too, pending there aren't any other issues with your PC. Is is possible that what you are doing on your computer could be making it shut off? Let's say you are a gamer, internet surfer, etc. Is this happening while you are active on your computer or does it do this while idle?

GOOD possibility and I swear by canned air; a fan aimed at the box itself could help, too?
