    Building A Development Computer
I've been asked to build a computer at work because I have the ability to cobble together a home computer. They are wanting a computer that is to be used as a development server in-house:

    - Basically replication of live environments for project development purposes
    - Code debugging
    - Versioning system Code repository / Code Release control
    - VMware(.com) virtual servers (e.g. Windows Server 2003) as required by projects
    - Intranet

I think the basic spec of dev server would be:

    - Dual CPU (AMD Opteron)
    - Tyan S2882-D Mobo
    - 4Gb Ram (Patriot)
    - ATX-Extended case (mobo is 12" x 13" ATX-Extended)
    - Min Dual HD @ 300Gb WD (Raid edition)
    - 3Ware RAID card (4 way) 8000 or 9000 series

Are there better components than what I've chosen out there or have I missed anything? Any advice would be very much appreciated.
