AUDIO Drivers

Hello everybody,

I came back to France from the USA with my 8300 Dell system.

Recently I got corrupted from a very bad virus and decided to format complytely and upgrades to SP2 the system and reloaded all drivers. Including the audio one from the Dell drivers disk.

Everything is working properly BUT the audio!!!

when I go to the sound and audio devices icone I read: No audio device

When I get to "Hardware in the Sounds and Audio devices properties I get:

Media Control devices: The device is working properly,

Legacy Audio drivers: " " "

Audio codecs " " "

Multimedia audio contoller: The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

What should I do ?

Thank you for any help

REECE

Load your drivers in SAFE MODE, and you shouldn't have a problem! Make sure you uninstall it in Device Mgr., and then do a fresh install while in SAFE MODE. I do it in XP Pro.
