    Yellow teeth
    Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew of home remedies to whiten the teeth... I am poor and can not afford to go to the dentist to whiten my teeth so I want to try something that won'r cost me a arm and a leg.

Rinse with a small amount of peroxide ( do not swallaw or allow to sit in mouth too long)

Brush with baking soda, it is an abrasive so it has to be used carefully

Some of the home whitening kits work fairly well.

But in the end, professional care from the dentiest is a must, not only to clean but to keep your mouth healthy.

Don't use whiteners too often cause they will erode your enamel.

Make a thin paste with peroxide and baking soda add a touch of salt.
The salt makes it taste sweeter.

Be careful with the hydrogen peroxide, it's a known carcinogen as is the alcohol you find in your Listerine mouthwash.

Don't be overly aggressive with your brushing when using the baking soda, it can scratch the enamel of your teeth (just like comet on a bathtub). Dipping a wet toothbrush in baking soda once or twice a week may help whiten your teeth.

You should determine if the stains are intrinsic (internal which means the above solutions won't help) or extrinisic (caused by your diet and habits).
