    Wisdom tooth extraction
I had my last two wisdom teeth removed 6 days ago, I was awake and I can not take pain medication because of my sensitive stomach. I am endearing so much pain, my ear is killing me, along with other teeth. I peeked into my mouth earlier and saw a gaping hole between my gum and cheek... what is this? And will it go away?

You should go back to your dentist. You may have a dry socket. You shouldn't be in pain 6 days after extractions.

It hurts a lot but it should all go away in about ten days. Although the gaping hole does not sound too good. The stitches might not have held too well.Maybe you should go back to your dentist and see what's wrong.

Tigerlily, what experience do you have to back up your advice that conflicts with what flossie, an actual known dentistry expert said?

I had my wisdom teeth taken out, I went through it three times actually because they were growing in at different rates. And I was never in pain for more than a few days.

I agree with Flossie. After 6 days I'd be touching base with your dentist again.

I have had three wisdom tooth extractions and it hurt for a good ten days and the swelling took about the same time to go down though the dentist said otherwise. So as for experience,I'd say I've had some.
