Outlook Express Compacting files to Recycle Bin
Any Idea why, when my Outlook Express Compacts Files it sends a copy of all the .bak files to the Recycle Bin? I just did a complete re-format and re-install of Windows XP. Thanks, Overwhelmed.

Thanks Clough, everything still works properly and I don't lose any messages. I was just wondering why the backup to the recycle bin and your info helped out. Regards, Overwhelmed.

As noted above, this was a Microsoft problem. We just installed Service Pack 3 for XP and the problem appears to have returned. We are getting the same behaviour as described in the Microsoft article.
