Bump in mouth after wisdom tooth removal
    Hi there,

I got 2 of my wisdom teeth out about 3-4 weeks ago and I believe it is fully healed. However, today I noticed that my left side of my mouth was hurting while I was eating. I looked in the mirror and I saw a small bump on the area where my tooth was removed. It hurts when I touch it and it looks rounded. It is also adjcanent to the tooth before it. Anyone know what it is and what's causing it? Thanks a lot.

It could possibly be a bone chip or some food got stuck in the socket where the wisdom tooth came out. Swish the area with warm salt water and call the dentist to have him/her check the area.

Pain after wisdom tooth removal [ 2 Answers ]

OK - I had a Wisdom Tooth pulled - it was not impacted. It was full of decay under the last filling. I ended up with a "dry socket" in that tooth. Went back to my Oral Surgeon who put a "pac" in it - felt so much better. Had pac taken out - the hole is much better but the bridge in front of it...
