Death in family

1 Answer My grandma died on the fourth of july. My family, including me, is taking it really hard. My mom has put herself in charge trying to get her dad and brothers on track. My papa and uncles lived with my nana and she was the one paying all the bills, making meals, and pretty much she was the glue that held the family together. We're all pretty shook up. But seeing what my papa is going through I don't want to have to go through it with my mom and dad if anything happens.how do I go about telling them to get their stuff in order in case something happens? and I know that my mom is the strong one or whatever but I also know she is taking this hard. And I know its not safe to keep feelings inside. how would someone get her to open up about how she really feels? thanks for any answers. |

| Death in the family is never easy to deal with and there is no right way of dealing with it. People deal with grief in different ways. Some keep to themselves. While this isn't wrong, I'm sure if you present yourself as open for communication and that you are there for that person its much more comforting. And might help. This occurred very recently, so things will take a while to seep in. I would wait a little while to approach the other subject, but in a few months just approach your parents and say, "I've come to realize anyone can go at any time, I think we should all make wills." You are never too young to have a will. I had one since I was 15, when my Dad suddenly passed away. | ||||
