depressed and outraged

I'm in grade 11, and I pursued a girl in my grade named Angie for a long time about 5 months ago. She really lead me on, and eventually rejected me for her ex- boyfriend who was 1 year older than me. This was heartbreaking for me.

I finally felt like i was over her, even when she broke up with that same guy.

But now, a good friend of mine has come into the picture, despite knowing about all my pursuits when they were happening. He is also 1 year older than me.

He asked me if it was alright with me, but what could I say really? I just said "it's fine with me". It is, but it isn't. I feel like he's better than me, and it's almost betrayal.

Do I have the right to be outraged??

Fondly,
Nat

No not really he did ask you if it was okay.
What COULD you say -IF she was interested in you she would have probably given you a chance by now.

Technically, you can be outraged whether you have the right or not. At the very least, chalk this one up as a learning experience to not pull punches and give the polite answer to a friend when you really feel something else.

Also, kudos on the well written grammatically superior non-texting post. Maybe you should start eyeing some college women!
