Im so confused.what does he want?

So i found out my boyfriend hasnt really been cheating on me but hes been telling this girl that shes beautiful and this and that. When i confronted him about it he confessed he does have feelings for her but they just "feelings" and he really loves me and wants to be with me. We havent been spending much time together lately because of my job, and hes in a band with this girl so they do spend time together and he says the only reason he got these feelings in the first place was because we dont spend enough time together and since they are almost always together it just happened but he doesnt wanna be with her.
I dont understand, we have been going out for 2 years and im not sure if its really possible to have feelings for someone but not want to be with them? is he with me only because we have been going out for so long and he feels "confortable" with me, does he really love me?? is his defense even true?? or does he really even have feelings for this other girl or maybe he just thinks he does because they have been spending so much time together??

im sorry for wats been going on with u an ur boy, iv'e been with my boy for 2 years aswell, well maybe u should say to ur bf if he really loves u he will completly stop talking to this girl and have more feelings 4 u an not this chick.If he's ur bf he shouldn't even be getting close to another person or even worse havin feelings for them. If i were u... i would of bashed her by now lol
