Dating EX - student ?

alright, I know I am opening this up to some serious criticism but just thought I would put this out there and see what you all think.

Recently I have been reunited in a way with a student who went to the high school where I started teaching at. I never taught her in the classroom but I did coach her. She is now 22 (i am 30) finished college and I am teaching at a different school in the same community. I have searched our division policies to see if this is frowned upon, and have had no luck.

I have talked to some people about it and most are supportive and see nothing wrong with it. I am very interested in pursuing this as we do have a lot in common and have had some good conversation lately, but am not sure if it will or even should affect my employment and reputation.

Let me know what you think.

She is 22 and you are 30. Both adults now and can make your own decisions.

I don't see anything wrong with it. She obviously isn't a student anymore so there's no way it could affect your employment.
