Fighting but can't leave

Here's my question....My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 2 years.....for the last 6 months we have been fighting about every little thing....We are in the same medical profession and the problem is we do not have time to be with each other...He has been married before with a child and I have been married before with 3 children. We both work in Surgery so between call, kids, and our crazy schedules, we can't get together...So we fight..If I have the time he doesn't or if he has the time i don't....With us both having kids we don't waltz into each other homes and disrupt each other family lives. We love each other so much and want this to work but if all we are going to do is fight about the time factor then he would rather call it quits before i start to hate him and resent him...It's really neither one of our faults we do try....One of us may plan something special and it gets spoiled by getting paged out to do a case or a child fell ill or whatever.....Do we try and hold on or let go?
