I have a crush on a coworker but can't ask her out
There's this girl I work with that I find attractive and want to ask her out. the problem is she works a different shift than I do. I used to work with her on my shift than she transferred to a different shift. I sometimes see her when she is leaving and want to talk to her but I can't. we have only talked a few times. so how can I go about asking her out without sounding to weird?
Most women of any age or marital status have to fight them off with a big stick. Don't wait if you want to ask her out. Don't worry about sounding weird, you are just interested it beats arrogant or self centered. Try for something small and public like coffee before her shift or on a weekend or something.I don't suggest you lie but you could say something like Iput my money in the soda machine and guess what it gave me TWO cans! Do you want this one? etc.
you want to ask her out but you can't....why not???? I think you should ask her out ASAP, because even though you guys work together ya'll have different shifts so it won't infer with work. I've worked with my ex-boyfriend before and it was a hot mess. if you guys do get together keep the shifts you have because you don't want to make things more complicated. Good Luck!!!!
My dad used to say, "If you don't ask, then the answer is already 'no'." Good advice.
This just means that the worst that can happen if you ask her out is she says "no", which means things are exactly the way they are now. So, you might as well.
And if she does say no, no reason you can't ask again later. Just make sure you're asking her to do specific safe things, make it easier for her to say yes.
if you like her....just ask her out...on one of those times you see her leaving, ask her for her number and call her to meet up sometime off of work
what do you have to lose?!
According to Stats that women are less likely to be interested in dating someone within the same office than men. Office romance is complicated however if she is really someone you want to get to know more, I'd say you should give a try. Don't do that in front of other coworkers or talk about it with the rest of the office! It's the office, you know you need to be cautious always.
CFZD brings up a good point. I know a guy who married a gal who worked in the same office. A second marriage for both of them. Unfortunately she had a lot of friends there and started gossiping to them all about their private life. He was a "blusher" and couldn't stand it and he actually gave up his supervisory position there which he'd had for 20 years, and changed jobs, took a big pay cut. so look before you leap or trust too much, if you know what I'm saying.
