Guys, do you prefer shy or outgoing women?

I am shy (and a woman). My boyfriend seemed always to be trying to get me to be more outgoing, but I think now after seeing each other for almost 9 months, he likes me the way I am. But, I DID try to be a little more outgoing, so maybe that pleased him. I think if the attraction is there, then it shouldn't matter that much if you are shy or outgoing.
