Got rejected by my friend and now she doesn't talk as much anymore
Hey everyone, I have been friends with this girl that I work with for a few months and when we first met we became friends because of her attraction to me. I am 24 and she is 18. I just got out of a relationship so I made it clear to her that I wasn't ready to move on yet but when I am I hoped she was still there. I never told her I didn't like her I just wasn't ready. Months went on and I was still upset over the loss of my ex and always took it out on her by crying on her shoulder and mentioning her name when she hung out with me. This past month I believe I am completely over my ex and now have deep attraction to my friend. Since I started feeling that way, she decided to take some time away from me cause my actions and feelings have started to annoy her and seem to be pushing her away. Last week I told her that I am over my ex and that I have feelings for her. When she heard this she blew up on me saying that she doesn't feel like that for me anymore and might not ever again and said that I have been messing with her head in me showing her that I wanted to be friends this whole time but now want something more. She has friends that she has known for years and they are always asking her out and she never took time away from them so why is it different with them over me? She continues to want time away from me and I am now accepting it. But if I am over my ex and done feeling down about everything how can I show her that I am a different person? She believes I am still the same as I was before and doesn't look like she will give me a chance. She told me that she will talk to me when she is ready but she is a great friend and I miss her a lot so its hard to accept it. I know I have to give her space but is there a way I can show her that I am a different man?

We had that fight last Friday but this past Monday something weird happened. I was out and she left me a message on my phone. She said if I wanted to chat for a bit we could I could just call her back. I called her that night and we talked for about 10 minutes and weird enough she talked like nothing happened. I am still a little confused about that to be honest. Since that chat she hasn't been the same, she used to call me everyday after work and used to find me to say goodbye before she left. But since Monday she doesn't do that anymore. I texted her yesterday morning and I never got a reply. What I need to know is what should I do in this situation and why do you all think she is being like this? I still like her so if there is a chance to get her to like me again I would accept that but I would rather be friends than nothing at all.

Its probably just like she said she doesn't have feelings for you like that anymore then you said you guys became friends maybe she seen the REAL n is not so much interested than taking it past the friendship you guys already have I say give her her space see her and talk to her as normal don't become annoying calling and texting everyday especially if she isn't replying you'll pityful and that's a turn off for girls they like to see men be men which means strong and with confidnece that okay she's not really feeling me like that right now but she will again eventually and if she doesn't her lost that is if you are a good man lol but give her some time then when you guys get together face to face one on one apologize for thinking she was going to wait around for you to leave the next chick then casually bring up the question as to what happened and take it for what it is you may be able to convince her to give you another chance to prove your ready for her and u may not so prepare yourself don't get up set take it for what it is your young there a million girls out there you'll find that special someone someday have fun your single now cool out for a while have fun
    Hope for the best!! Chow

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I think you blew it by crying on her shoulder about your ex. If u look at it from her perspective she was there and really liked you but you were not interested in her, at all only your feelings about your ex girlfriend. As u were crying on her shoulder she was probably thinking I'm here and I like you why are you even talking about your ex girlfriend who dumped u? Am I not good enough for u? You have obviously hurt her feelings and she prob still likes you from her attempts to rekindle something but maybe you stirred up too many mixed feelings that she can't feel that way for you anymore? Most girls will tell you rule no.1 never ever talk about another girl to a girl you like.

I think if you want something with this girl you have to admit and apologise to her that you were blind to her feelings and convince her that she is special to you in such a way like apologising and saying that you were wrong, and that you realise that she needs space, and that you will give her all the time in the world! Also you must truly believe that in your heart! You might also add that she deserves a great guy and that you wish the best for her in the future in that regard and if she ever needs someone to talk to that you would more than happy to return the compliment. Foremost you must accept that this time you might have blown it and let nature take its course if you really care for this girl show it by helping her to be happy with or without u. For now leave her be talk to her when she talks to you but otherwise try as you already are to give her space. This way you might be able to show her that you care for her on a deeper level than just for your own needs. Hope this helps!
