I don't know how to act around my ex boyfriend

So I told my ex boyfriend I wanted him back but he told me he was too busy to have a relationship. But now I have to see him almost everyday and we used to ignore each other and now we're kinda getting along. But sometimes he makes these mean comments to me and it really hurts.
So idk what to do because I still have feeling for him but apparently he doesn't so should I make an effort trying to be his friend or not?
ugh why do we love the people that don't want to love us back?

Well if he's being mean don't be friends with him and give him the space he needs if he doesn't want to go back out, there's always more fish in the sea.

i think you shouldn't be friends with him if he's mean to you and try to push your feelings away by finding another guy that deserves you.

NO! If you run into him smile and say hello but do not engage in convo. Walk around with your head held high and act as if his actions don't even phase you in the slightest. Sometimes when you're feeling down it's best to act happy bc that will result in happy feelings.
