I may be too old to understand but what do 13 year do on dates? Where do they go? How do they get there since their too young to drive? Back in my day We would hangout at each others house and have hot dogs and cookies for a few hours on Saturday, or get dropped at the movies and picked up after. More than curious about this new age.

Here is a scary little story from my school (I teach middle school and lower high school math).

We have a 9th grade girl dating a 7th grade boy here...one of the teacher's intercepted a note in which the 7th grader (12 years old) states that he wants his girlfriend to father his child...and then goes into graphic detail on how he is going to go about pregnating her.

I know that I did not know anything about any of that at 12.

I have a beautiful 13 year old daughter. I think I am gonna quit nursing school and home school!!!

Good think my gal thinks school and grades are too important right now and that boys can come later. I musta done somethin right!!

well im 14 years old now,... so when i was dating last year... we would go to movies, maybe out to dinner here and there, you know ... nothing too serious. and i dont think its too young... just DONT get serious

and people at that age know about sex... its not too surpirising

Confusedgirl- you are right people your age do know about sex. It is amazing how things have changed since I was little (and I am not even 30 yet). Do you think that there is a lot of pressure to have sex?
