Ok, there is this guy at school. Him and I are really good friends. Last week everyone was commenting on how much we were flirting. We were having some great conversations. Then everyone was making a big deal about it and saying that we should go out. We would be perfect together. So every time we hang out everyone acts like were in elementary school and start saying awwwwwwwwwww, etc. I really like him. Everyone said he thought I was pretty and really nice. But why hasn't he aske dme out yet. I really like him, and think that we would be a perfect match. Is he too shy to ask me out, or has everyone built this into somehting its not. If you have any advice on how to get a guy to ask you out let me know! I really like him, and we are really close, please help me! Why won;t he get some guts and ask me out. I am an oldfashioned girl and think that the guy should ask out the girl. How can I tell if he really likes me. Thanks, from a girl who is confused and love struck!

dude. he prolly is just really shy, i mean their as shy as girls are to ask a guy out. i mean were all shy in our own ways. well, you should do what i am doing, for a guy i like, its oldfashioned and it saves alot of uncomfortable conversation.
write him a note!
with ur phone # and tell him how you feel.
if he likes you, he'll tell you.

I think you're both just feeling a bit in the spotlight considering how much attention your maybe blossoming relationship has been getting.
Just tone it down a bit and be patient.
If it's meant to be, it will be - maybe the attention is making him nervous. After a week or so he won't feel so pressured.
If it's all just hype, then by not doing anything too early, and staying cool, you can still be friends, and maybe rekindle something in a couple of months time.
Guys sometimes wimp out, especially when there's all sorts of pressure and you're an attractive girl. Be patient and don't pressure it. Things will evolve on their own.
