    Age differences
Why do guys seem to always have the bigger issues with age differences? And why do girls seem to be mostly attracted to older guys? I'm that way, and I usually like guys who a lot older, sometimes even 10 years older to twice my age. Why?

I'm actually married to a guy that's a couple years younger, but before I met him I dated a guy that was 9 years older and a guy that was 12 years older. I just liked that they were mature and knew what they wanted, whereas guys my age were into going out the bars and screwing around and weren't looking for a relationship. I realize I'm making a generalization there, but maybe it was just the guys I met.

Well, I have dated women 17 years older than me,married one 1 year younger, divorced and found out,it isn't the age differences(once you're an adult)its the similarities, the things in common, which make or break the relationships.

I like '80's music, the more I look for someone into it,low and behold, their my age,go figure.

Maturity in the early to late teens is tedious and can get you into situations which might affect your entire life(kids, diseases from unprotected sex,to name a few)Some mature at a greater rate than others.

In my 20's, it seemed,my peers were just not growing up much,I found myself with older(30's... lol)friends and related to them better.

It seems like we attract those we want to emulate, sometimes this is only to be found in the older generation, not our peers.

Why can't I seem to find those women wanting older guys.

But it is all a personal issue, I don't think that by any large majority they do, since if you check out dating sites, most are looking for people in that same age range. But there are those that like younger or older.

Usually I like guys who are a couple of years youger. I think its because I'm not ready for something too serious. It can be serious on a relationship area as long as the words babies, moving in together and marriage is not involved. Besides I like to hang out in bars, and I kind of like guys who like to do that...

I totally agree age is just a number! And its not in the bible! As long as its not too much of an age diffrence then I think it is OK but if there's a lot of age diffrence then don't set your mind to him but, I agree and I think its because usually guys older than girls are a lot cuter than boys their age but that's what a lot people say that the boys will get older and cuter! Gah!!

I have found that many girls in their late teens and early twenties like guys about 10 years older than them. But be warned if you're looking to fish in that pond - these same girls tend to like guys closer to their age (<5 years difference) once they hit the late 20s and are thinking marriage and lifetime. It's a maturity thing - both directions.
